Our courses are not based on rigid curricula, but instead foster very flexible environments that will meet the students where they are intellectually, and take them as far as their potential allows. Throughout the year, instructors will gently engage the students at the start with captivating problems. The class size will be small enough so that each student will be able to work at his or her pace.
To help ensure this environment, there are 3 classes available at the Math Circle:

|
|
| Laney - Green | Green students are ready to go! Typically 5th - 8th grade students, the green classes tend to go by quickly with lots of hands on activities, calculations and great mathematics. |
| Laney- Purple | Purple students have a bit more time to think about the math being presented. Typically 9th-12th grade students, the purple class students are ready for a bit more self motivated work and lecture. At the same time purple classes are full of great mathematics and fun activities. |
| Laney - Teacher | Teachers have the opportunity to be the student in our Circle for Teachers classes. These classes are taught by the same great instructors who present to the students and they include both the fun mathematics and some discussion of pedagogy and using Math Circle lessons in your classroom. |
| Patten & Patten 2 | Group activities! Typically 5th - 12th grade students with their teachers. The Patten classes tend to go by quickly with lots of hands on activities, calculations and great mathematics. |
